Is this an audit or certification?

Who has access to my data?

Can’t we do the AI policy and inventory internally?
Yes, a company can prepare a basic policy or spreadsheet internally. BateAI solves a different problem: reusable evidence. It helps track covered members, policy acknowledgements, AI literacy evidence, AI tools inventory, risk baseline and a buyer-safe Evidence Pack for customer or security review. The goal is not to replace internal responsibility; it is to avoid rebuilding answers from PDFs, spreadsheets and screenshots every time a questionnaire arrives.
What are covered members?
Covered members are people included in the AI governance evidence scope in BateAI. It does not have to be the whole company; typically it includes teams using AI tools, working with customer or sensitive data, or covered for customer/security review.
Does BateAI automatically detect all Shadow AI tools?
No. The current Shadow AI intake in BateAI is not hidden monitoring or automatic discovery of every AI tool. It is an internal reporting workflow: covered members can simply report AI tools they use at work, and the owner/admin team gets a view for further governance steps.
Is Shadow AI part of the Evidence Pack?
Not in the current version as buyer-facing evidence. Shadow AI intake is an internal workflow. The Evidence Pack remains buyer-safe and includes only approved, PII-minimized artifacts. Shadow AI reports can help internally complete the inventory and decide what should go through further review.
